I was messing around with the enchantments, and I thought that there might certain things that enchantments do. EX: Swords might do more damage to certain types of enemies, or do a little bit more damage to everything in general. OR, it would kill farmland animals, like pigs, chickens, cows, etc. , and so on and so on.
Now, for the IDEA part. OF COURSE, I think there should be certain animations on the swords, like moving fires on the sword; or moving water; etc, depending on what there enchantment is.
Also, when you enchant your tools/armor, you should be able to name your tool/armor. BUT, the name would only appear when your mouse hovers over the item.
ALSO, I think that there should be at least 50 or more levels of enchanting, and about 25 or more types of enchanting. That way, there could be at least 2 levels of strength/power, the second level doubling the effect of the first, or adding on to it.
ALSO, I think that the GUI for the enchanting table should be a bit bigger, so that there can be two enchantments side bye side.(the one on the left being the first level of enchantment, and the one on the right being the second level of enchantment) And you should also be able to scroll down the enchantments.
So, what do you guys think? Please post your opinions down below, and don't bash, or act like a tard. I like to have INTELLIGENT conversations with people. (Also, I wasn't able to fit the "Names? No names?" question onto the poles, so please post your opinion!)
i like the animations thing but the naming is kinda eh... pointless
Well, allot of people like giving great names to cool items. Say you had a sword that killed dragons better than it killed any other mobs. Wouldn't it be nice to name it "The Dragon Slayer", or something else along those lines?
I like the ideas! What about an enchantment that makes the sword last forever but weakens it to iron, (this can only be done to iron+ swords). And why would you need to name them? I guess so you can't get your swords mixed up in smp, or to name them for rp or adventure maps. Piggles says yes to MORE ENCHANTMENTS

Be caring, please help my dragon hatch by giving him a little click.

Meh... The Iron sword lasting forever thing sounds sketchy to me... But, like I said, naming you sword is just one of those things that like a little diamond at the bottom of your mine-shaft, it's just something cool to add on for a little creativity and fun.
