There are a lot of Minecraft servers that people have put money into, and thats great. Keep them. But what about the people who don't want to play on public servers, but instead they want to play on their own server with a couple of friends?
I am one of those people who just wants to play with a friend or two by ourselves. I have tried creating a personal server but I have little knowledge of how to do it and I gave up after trying for an hour or so.
Put an option to create a private game into Minecraft
(Invite Players/Friends to the game)
Put an option to join a server into Minecraft
Put an option to add friends into Minecraft
These are the three basic principles of Online Multiplayer. This would make everything so much easier.
There are some main reasons your server might be laggy:
You don't have enough RAM.
You don't have a high enough upload speed.
What you need to do to get friends to join is port forward 25565 to you computers local ip through your router, this is the step that most people miss.
