First of all, I'm pretty sure this topic has not been posted before; but if it has, I apologize.
I love the new villages; they give players something to look for, and even a home if they don't want to build one themselves. They are a little buggy, and the houses are pretty much the same in each village, but that's not really a problem.
One thing I'd like to see, though, are different types of villagers and different styles of buildings and each village could have something different to offer.
Here are some ideas:
*Goblins- Green and brown creatures that range from small and passive to large and aggresive.
Style: Shacks and broken down housing generally made of wood.
Advantage: New special bizzare items or armor perhaps
*Pigmen- Oink! (Note: the pigmen should NOT drop pork because that would make people want to kill them.)
Style: Normal housing out of wood and some stone.
Advanatage: Pigmen can fight along side you (melee) and farms can spawn in the town.
*Dwarves- Dwarves don't do much, but wander around much like the pre-existing villagers
Style: Stone cities that can be partially underground and partially unlit, and have lots of contained lava.
Advantage: Pre-dug mineshafts (unlit) and could even lead directly to dungeons or abandoned mines. There could also be breweries and armouries.
*(Monks a.k.a. The Testifacates- Basically, what we already have.
Style: Again, what we have, but perhaps have more greenry and flowers.
Advantage: Farms and plenty of lighting outside so that mobs can not spawn in the town or near the town.
*Humans- Men, women, children, and even knights and archers that are peaceful, but can be attacked by invading mobs.
Style: Cobble stone and smooth stone structures including watchtowers, and surrounding the city, small ramparts or a low stone wall
Advantage: Knights and Archers can be helpful companions in battle.
One final note about towns: Maybe, thanks to the new wells, there could be a 1/10 chance of having a new special dungeon spawn in the well with new water mobs and treasure.
That's about it. Let me know what you think; any critism is appreciated just as long as you're not a complete jerk about it. :wink.gif:
Please read the rules. Even if there is a mod for it, this is Vanilla Minecraft and suggestions for it. It doesn't matter if there is a mod for it, unless you really like it.
Anyways, villagers are just fine, and we don't need goblins and dwarves and whatever. No Support.
i dont really like it, because villages are supposed to be just a village. If you put more into it, it would become your object to find a new and improved village rather than mining, crafting, and building. No support, sorry.

That is a great way to explain why you don't like this idea.
