The Rotten Suit would be made out of Rotten Flesh. The crafting recipes would be the same as regular armor but instead of leather, iron, gold or diamond, it would be Rotten Flesh.
The use for this 'Rotten Suit' would be if you wear the whole suit (Cap, Tunic, Pants, and Boots) that zombies (maybe other aggressive creatures) will not notice your or only take you as another zombie (or other aggresive creature).
The Rotten Suit would lose its durability over time so nobody could stay invisible forever.
Another thing that could work is that when the Rotten Suit is worn, passive creature (Pigs, Cows, Chickens, etc.) run away.
I like the idea, but Endermen should still get pissed about you looking at them, and it shouldn't work in Nether/Ender because zombies don't spawn there.
One more thing:
Exactly how long does the Rotten Suit last?

Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day.
Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

The suit wouldnt last long (1-1.5 minutes). Its not made so you can venture into the night while not being detected, its meant for going out to get something you need or do something outside without having to change to peaceful or fighting your way through creatures.
I don't like the idea of making an armor that has any special effects by itself, since we're getting enchanted items soon anyway.
However, I always thought you should be able to craft rotten flesh into armor, but just leather armor, afterall, leather is just cow flesh. I think you should be able to put rotten flesh in a furnace to "cure/harden" it, then craft 4 peices of cured flesh to make 1 leather.
Not that we really need more leather, just another use for rotten flesh.
The rotten flesh drops are certainly suitable. They leave little options for usefulness. I suggest that zombies drop "body parts" without being too gory. One example is snoballs and punkins to create a golem. I suppose the drawback would be creating new art and golems. It could add a big fun factor.
I was thinking you were going to make a bait suit, so monsters will come at you from a further range and monsters spawn within a 24 block diameter. That way you can fight more monsters and get more loot.
I like the Idea, but I dont think it should work on anything other than zombies and maybe skellys (the Creeper knows you LIE!). I also like the idea of the 'time limit', and of course this was one of my favorate scenes in Walking Dead last season, (for thouse of you who havent seen it, an ax, trenchcoats, dead zombies, and pukeing were involved)

Yes, no item that makes monsters passive will ever be a good idea.
