Hi all, so i'm a sci fi enthusiast and i love fiddling with redstone and pistons. On several occasions, when working with pistons i've wondered how to make things like a 3 by 3 block door open with sticky pistons without using sand/gravel (as aesthetically, they look terrible) or how to lift up a cube from above with one piston. Its impossible to do it right? As no piston can reach the centre block of the door and no piston can pick up more than one block.
Well heres my idea. The introduction of sticky blocks. Thats as simple as it is. A block with a slime ball on top (in the workbench) such as a block of cobblestone with a slime ball on top, creates a sticky cobblestone block. Now these sticky blocks can stick to any other block (Which may have some small complications here and there but it creates an edge to what the sticky piston picks up). The sticky piston could still only move 13 blocks at a time, but instead of them having to be moved back and forth by a piston on each end, they could be attached to each other and essentially attached to the piston so that a piston could push and pull 13 blocks whether they be aligned or in cube shape as opposed to 1 block.
This would make it possible to lift larger doors, etc. Of course a piston can still only move 1 block forward or backward, up or down, but it allows for much greater redstone crafting. This would open up huge possibilities with elevators, monorails and the like. It would be amazing. And at last i would have my beautiful sticky piston hatch that extends from below my space ship so that people could access it and close it when inside.
So for clarification, it is made like (flint being a slimeball):
A sticky piston could lift 13 blocks provided they are attached to each other by sticky blocks meaning that only 'lining blocks' (blocks attached to sticky blocks creating a lining for what can be picked up) could be normal blocks.
It is only an idea atm and i realise it could contain some flaws but essentially thats what an idea comes with, so any suggestions to improve this current idea would be fantastic :smile.gif:.
Possible improvements
The possibility of right clicking on a block with a slime ball to change the block to a sticky block. (suggested by Mickez)
Crafting would be pain in the ass, just right-clicking on a block with slimeball should do it (and then only that side should become sticky as well)
+ this has been requested so many times, and will not go into the game. Try suggesting it at the modding section.
First of all It's a good idea :smile.gif:.

Secondly, personally i don't believe i would use it if it were a mod. So either i would have it in the game or not at all.
