I would like to see nether biomes. You could have one biome made of Ash, which would be a foggy place. For me, the Nether looks rather boring at this stage. There is not really much to explore or do in the Nether. More Nether blocks should be implemented, to make biomes as of normal world where we have sand, snow, dirt. Ideas for new blocks could be a hot block, which make you lose a little life when walking over. Also volcanoes would be wicked. Dead trees. Skeletons of dead animals, that when you harvest you get bones. Blocks in the nether should require a Diamond pickaxe or a new pickaxe made of Nether materials(Like when you start in normal world, you make a wooden pickaxe, then stone. This pickaxe should only be efficient in The Nether.) This should include better Sword, Axe, Hoe and Shovel. Also atleast one new set of armor made of nether materials which could have fire restiance stats?. I would like to see The Nether as an extension from the normal world, with harder mobs. Mobs in the Nether should have more HP and do more dmg than in normal world. Portal should be able to teleport mobs from normal world to The Nether and visa versa.
cool idea. i would like to see more types of ores in the nether.
nethite, enderium, tongite, herobrite, skilite, revite. those are ones that should be in it.
EDIT: I will actually make a topic post of the ores.

Do you like red panda's? They are so cute! Message me if you like the Red Panda!
Big meh tbh. I agree that the nether should be harder than the normal world, but it should also be more rewarding or theres no point going there. Which is why having to use a diamond pick to mine stuff there is a bad idea. That doesn't make it harder, it wastes your pick, so it is less rewarding.
The bone blocks, hot block and biomes are not really explained much, but kinda cool I guess...
Animals wandering through portals is a bad idea though. For a start, mobs aren't remembered by the game when you change worlds. So they would just wander into the portal and disappear.
What i ment, was that the diamond pickaxe would be like the wooden pickaxe in The Nether. From there you should be able to gather ores to create greater pickaxes and equipment. I would like to see the Nether as an extension, just harder.
When it comes to the portals, Notch can program portals to frequently spawn mobs from other dimension close by portals. That would work.

All of the above sounds great. I would love to see more biomes and features in the Nether.

The rest is garbage. Special "Nether Only" tools is ripped from the Aether mod, and while it works for the mob, the idea that moving something changes it's effectiveness doesn't really hold up. That would be like a toothbrush that removes plaque when used in the downstairs bathroom, but not in the upstairs bathroom...doesn't make sense.
I can actually see a fire-resistant armour, but I'm not certain it would be balanced. With fire already less deadly, it seems like good lead in to "Mobs can't get me because my house is made of FIRE!!!!!1!!!11!!!ONE!"
The next is something I see people wanting fairly often, and it's honestly fairly noobish. More HP and damage doesn't make a better mob. Don't believe me? Get a mod that lets you spawn the unused Giants. They're strong, they soak up a lot of damage, and they are painfully easy to kill. A good mob is one that requires unique tactics, or being prepared to face. A great example of mobs whose difficulty comes from the tactics needed to beat it is the Aether mod. Really, almost any mob from the Aether is absolutely brilliant in design, but I'll use just the bosses as examples. Yes, as "bosses" they are strong and have a lot of HP, however, this isn't what makes them dangerous. The "Slider" requires players to carefully watch and anticipate its movements, and can only be hurt with a pick, so the player must change how they fight. The Valkyrie is just a powered up version of a normal mob, but they're special in that they used teleporting before the Endermen made it cool...and they fly. Then there's the Sun Spirit. Just look at it. This thing takes so different of tactics from anything else to fight that it just isn't funny. Your diamond sword will not avail you, you have to be smart. That's how you design a tough mob.
Lastly, making portals into spawners will only manage to 1) make players less likely to use portals, 2) undermine their intended purpose as a means of fast travel, 3) make the construction of mob grinders far too easy.
Yeah! That would've been cool bro.
