As the title says, this monster dust thing is sort a tracking device. however, the dust pops up in the minecraft world uncommonly or sometimes rarely. Now, what creates these are basically the monsters that inhabit minecraft, as they wander the area, there are chances in which they drop stuff that can be useful crafting material or furnace material. Anyway, here are my examples:
Skeletons leave bone fragments
Slimes leave slime trails
Spiders leave egg sacs
Creepers leave green dust
Endermen leave magical fragments
Now, I don't know what things these ideas can be useful for but discuss.
I agree with Krova, in a multiplayer server wouldn't it cause lag for a bunch of items on the ground? And their drops right now are perfect. :smile.gif:
Maybe two bone frags could be crafted into bone meal.
Slime trails....potion ingrediant.
Egg sac...Spider Farm?
I don't think that creepers should leave a trail (since the point of them is stealth)

But this contradicts your idea of using it as a tracking device or a breadcrumb trail, for lack of a better word.
Slime trails should be able to be crafted into slime balls.
Creepers shouldn't drop anything.
Egg sacs can be thrown to get spiders (no chance of a spider jockey unless you throw it on a skele.
Magical Fragments should be a potion ingrediant.
Why does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
