Guns should be added to minecraft. They'll be flintlock-like guns that fire like the old bow did, and their bullets are made out of iron. They'll be great for stunning enemies with their rapid fire, and they'll have a longer range than arrows!
Flintlock bullets will do 1 heart of damage per shot, and fire 3 times per second when you hold down the mouse button! If you click repeatedly, you'll do more damage!
You just place 1 iron ingot on the crafting grid with gunpowder next to it, and it turns into 4 bullets for the "gun"!
The MOB that uses them will be UNDEAD PIRATES! They'll spawn anywhere thats dark, and drop 0-2 bullets upon death. :smile.gif:
To craft a gun, you use the crafting grid and put together a stick, an iron ingot, a flint-and-steel, and a wood block.
So whaddya say? Should we have a new addition to minecraft warfare? It still fits the theme, and it would be great to have both a strong-but-slow bow and a weak-but-fast gun!
Erm... normal pirates would be better. Say, to add more danger to the seas. They travel on vast ships with cannons, they act like magma balls that Ghasts fire.

That would be fine too, but I like it better when you're the only normal human around. Everyone else is undead, big nosed and bald and unibrowed and cross armed, an animal, or a monster. :tongue.gif:
Trigger happy pirates? :ohmy.gif:
Would this include headshots? And you would eventually use up all the iron in your world, rendering your gun useless. This would only be good if iron somehow became renewable.
Western-style gun duels on multiplayer :smile.gif:.
Only problem is that a bullet does LESS damage than an arrow?
Eh... flintlock weapons would be waaaay slower then a bow.
And im pretty sure Notch said he never wants to add guns to the game.
I think Notch will re-consider when he sees this.
