Right now villages are the same in all of the areas of the game. Whether it be a Desert or a Frozen Wasteland it seems kinda boring that the villages are the same in those areas. Not to mention when 1.9 comes out when you probably will be able to buy the same stuff from all villages. (please correct me if Im wrong here)
So this got me thinking, what if the depending on the area of the village that it has completely new theme to every village you find. Also what if the villages sold and bought different items in different areas.
My thoughts and ideas
So depending on the Village, depends on the Biome. Here is what I have come up with so far.
Logging Towns
These Towns can be found in Winter Biomes, they buy Wood, Logs, Wool, and Beds. They sell you Flint and Tinders, Beds, Wood, Logs, Axes, and Coal. The people wear fur jackets, and stay inside most of the time. The Houses are made of Logs and Wood foor Roofs.
Sand Towns
These Towns are found in Desert Biomes, they dont sell much and dont buy much. They sell you buckets of water, sandstone and buy sandstone, water, and sand. The people look like ancient eygptians and are outside most of the time. The houses are made of dirt and Sandstone.
Swamp Towns
These towns are found in Swamp Biomes (duh), unlike most towns they are raised off the ground 2 or 3 blocks, to prevent flooding like in the real world. They buy wood, vines, iron, beds, wool. They sell you the same items plus a compass. The houses are the same as the default but are still raised. The people are the default villagers.
Wizard VIllages
These Towns can be found in several different biomes however are extremely rare! When you come across one youll see alot of wizard towers with wizards in them. They will sell you poitions and will trade you poitons. So say 2 healing potions for 1 invincible potion (Im just going off of dumb ideas)

Coastal Town
Wood and brick buildings, docks made of wood planks and fenceposts for supports. Will sell fish(cooked and uncooked), boats, fishing poles and such.
Mining town
Built at the foot of a mountain (or close too it) and has a mineshaft (abandoned or not) connected to its road. Will sell raw ores, Diamonds, redstone dust, lapis and flint,
If you have any ideas please feel free to suggest them and I might add them up here.
To add to swamp towns, there should be hermit caves, caves made of dirt with 1 or 2 villagers in it with nice husky beards. Those villagers trade sticks and shovels to players and nice advice.

Perhaps there should be things that all villages will trade for, like say gold ingots as a common currency.

Hold on, why do they buy items that can be easily obtained in their biome!? why would the desert dwellers not buy food, water, wood, and so on? wouldn't the winter biome villagers need food, seeing as the animals would be in hibernation or something (not actualy following minecraft's spawn system) this is a great idea, but that needs to be worked on.

This is just a little "Beta" Thread you can call it. I havent worked out all the kinks in it but hopefully Notch or someone sees this.
