So here's what I've noticed. There seems to be a generation bias with passive mobs, at least when you start a new world. I've made several worlds today, and I always seem to be stuck with one kind of passive mob for a long period of time. It's not as bad when I get stuck with pigs or cows, but when it sticks to sheep I can't eat without running around and getting lost in search of something to eat. Meanwhile, they don't de-spawn unless you kill them (which I like unless I need something new).
Does this happen to anyone else?
I think that the passive mobs should be a pre-mixed selection (with some variation, of course) so that we don't get stuck without beds or food, depending on our luck.
What do you all think?

It's not biased, code confirms it. Animals are not biome specific except watermobs, which are ocean and river, and wolves, which are taiga and forests. Then the desert has no passive mobs at all. Besides that, animal spawning is a weighted random choice for what species and how many.
On top of that, animal respawning is nerfed almost to nothing.
It DOES happen to me, however, I don't mind, because i consider myself a master farmer, I use irrigation to get water to me farms. Anyways, sheep provide me w/ lots of wool for decor./beds.
