If this has been posted before, I am sorry in advance.
Anyway, you're walking on the beach when BAM! there's a treasure trove of clay blocks out on the ocean. I am in this predicament more times than I care to admit. Instead of dropping sand and gravel by the quarry-full, how about re-implementing sponges? You put nine wool together and you have yourself a sponge. It would also help in those trying to add a bit more land to their island or to dry up ponds to get at possibly valuable coal if you are just starting out.
*Digs sand nearby*
*Places sand into water*
*Digs away the sand over the clay*
*Digs the clay*
If you haven't got time to do that...
That's the point it's time consuming. You're not going to kill animals with a wooden sword are you? No, you're going to want bigger and badder weapons. You're not going to make a house out of dirt are you? No, you're going to try and mine obsidian if you can.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, an opinion cant be awful. Its an opinion. Its your opinion that his opinion is awful.

Last I checked there wasn't any news regarding sponges, but they're still in the game, they just don't do anything at the moment.
They are still in game and don't do anything but look pretty. And they don't even do that very well.

Aren't you being a little harsh? It's just a block. They all look bad to gamers who play FPSes on the computer with graphics that make real life look 64-bit.

Admit it, they look less appealing than **** on a stick.

You're a jerk.

Of coursel, it would still work in Survival, for those who want to use it for adventure maps.

I agree. If you want to take water with you, you've got the buckets.
