Mushroom biomes only have the cows.
seriously... that's the only thing. both above and below ground (well, not below ground, because they can't spawn there. nothing else does thought :tongue.gif:) there is only the mooshroom. I believe that the mushroom biome is going in a great direction, but it could use some more "infested" mobs, to make things a bit more dangerous. seriously. I shouldn't be able to walk around at midnight on hard with wooden tools, without getting my ass handed to me. BUT there is nothing to hand me my ass. I mean really... what can COWS do?
Mob suggestions:
infested endermen: can only pick u mycelium. kill grass that they walk over.
credit to: wewantska:
infested pigs: like normal pigs, except they shoot mushroom spores from their face.
I was thinking mooshrooms could shoot out spores (little seeds for mushrooms), and when you breathe them (2-3 blocks away) you get hurt 1 heart(s).
Also, maybe infested pigs? They could release spores with their snouts like guns. It can shoot out 5 blocks. It would have a effect of green tiny dots.
Well you can milk them with a bowl to get mushroom stew :3
mushroom stew will not hand me my ass either. :sleep.gif:
I just want some challenge. I thought mushroom biomes would be great! but... they are boring. so boring.
maybe infested endermen... that can only pick up mycelium... and turn grass into dirt when they walk on it... hang on, all one of you. I need to edit the OP.
I'd prefer some kind of unique mushroom mob (he's a real fungi) instead of more recolors of existing mobs.
Myconid (Imagine the cute creatures from Seiken Densetsu)
10 hearts
1.5/2.5/3.5 hearts on easy/med/hard.
can throw cap as boomerang for .5/1/1.5 damage. (cannot throw another cap while current cap is thrown)
has a slowing spore attack which slows the player by 25% for 3 seconds.
When killed, has a 25% chance of exploding into spores(non-damaging) which dot the landscape. Each spore has the slow effect and remains for 10m or until removed by player. It cannot be harvested.
Also has a 5% chance to drop myconid cap.
Myconid cap
16 uses, same damage as arrow.
Throws cap in a sweeping arc before returning to player (parabolic teardrop shape of throw). It is essentially a bow and arrow which does not hit straight in front of you unless it is at the "apogee" of the throw (5 meters in front of you.) Hits all npcs in path. Durability only lost per throw, not per hit. Damaged enemies are knocked AWAY from the player regardless of approach of boomerang.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The above is not balanced, only intended to give concept to a plausible aggressive mob to fungus biomes.

Brohoof, bra. Brohoof.
The statement above is false.

mmm farming the spore king for the fungi tunic..
Nothing against you, just not used to your system of quoting (email based); not the norm on these forums :tongue.gif:. Cheers.
Do tell more about the myco's you would like to see and their implementation.
