Boss Mobs or Champions spawn as normal mobs, but get a name over their head which states added Pre- and suffixes.
Dependant of what pre or suffix was added, the mob gets additional traits like armor, (small)explosion upon death, higher damage output and so on. Maybe changes in size, too.
Boss Mobs get 3 to 4 Pre-/Suffixes, Champions 1 to 2.
For example : Mighty Creepy Zombie, bringer of dusk.
Mighty :+1damage / hit
creepy :explodes upon death
Bringer of dusk : Acts like inverted torch and draws light in a set radius. -> Can bring sidekicks :laugh.gif:
I think this would make a lot of variety and fun for a fair amount of coding.
What would you think of that ?

Hehe, or maybe link the maximum number of pre/suffixes to how many mobs you killed per time. This way they would get consantly harder when slaughered a lot. Might be a nice addition to harder Levels :smile.gif:
Maybe if bosses are added they can give you special medals and cloaks, so you can show off.
Anyways to my boss idea, the Evil Knight.
You encounter this boss by finding a castle, and walking up to a peasant-looking guy in the middle of the room, after you get within 1 blocks range of him he rises up into the air, starts making purple particles and transforms into a bigger figure that has big arms, short legs, purple armor, red eyes and a huge axe that is part of his model, not an item he is holding, he ignores you if you don't have good enough combat stats (they will be added, a picture was posted) he won't accept you to fight, if you do, a sword will appear in your inventory, it is white, but has a blue handle, and it has blue outline around it.
You then must hit him with the sword which causes him to teleport to a platform up on one of the walls, he then jumps down trying to hit you with his axe, this does 3 hearts of damage, but also knocks you back 5 blocks. After you have hit him 3 times the four corners of the room disappear, leaving holes with spikes in them. His attacks then change into hitting you normally, but knocking you back 3 blocks, and doing 1 and a half hearts of damage. He also hits his axe onto the ground, causing a breaking animation to travel through the block he hits until it hits the wall, if it hits you the blocks grow spikes, damaging you, for half a second. You must hit him into the spikes 3 times to kill him. After his death a chest in the middle of the room appears, inside of it a book is in it, but this book is blue with the mojang symbol on it, you can use it to summon knights wearing mojang capes, but it costs you 2 gold per knight.

I guess I would like Unique Mobs because sometimes I need more of a Challenge and the Mobs could have a spawn chance of 1 out of 50. And they could drop special things for potions. Also the names over the Mobs would be incredible and easier to spot. So I for one support this kind of Idea. A bit like Terraria though, but that doesn't matter, This is MINECRAFT.
Notch said a while back that things like "cobble creepers" would come to MC. I like this idea more, maybe with poison attributes, slowed, or a host of other things
