Okay. Like many people, I want to have mods in my minecraft game. But I don't want to go through the process of getting modloader, putting that wherever, getting the mod I want, and going to some hidden file and putting it in there. I'm merely suggesting a possibility of a sort of "cloud" in the menu. What do I mean by cloud? Well, I'll use a game that's tied with Minecraft as my favorite game as an example; Garry's Mod. For those who haven't played it, Garry's Mod is a Source Engine game that's creative in SinglePlayer and in some MultiPlayer servers, but there's other gamemodes too, anyways, I'm getting off topic. In singleplayer, in the menu, there's a thing called "toybox". In there, there are posted creations of weapons, entities, props, etc that people have uploaded. You're able to download and use them during your session thanks to the toybox and the "steam cloud". So. I'm suggesting a sort of Cloud in Minecraft in the menu where you can get mods without needing all those addons. You head in, click on "Download Mods" or something of the sort, click on what you want, go to a screen similar to the "Game Updating" when there's an update or patch, and when it's done, you can find it in the Mods+Texture Packs Menu. It seems similar and more complex at the same time, since the way of doing it originally is putting it in the games files, outside of the game. But in this, it's harder since things must be uploaded to a sort of database of mods, but at the same time, it's easier since it handles all the updates ingame. This thread was inspired by FlowerChild's Better Than Wolves Mod. Thanks for reading.
Bearier -noun- A large wall composed entirely of grizzly bears.
Well, certain mods could be limited or just not included, since you can reap the benefits of TMI in creative mode.
