Placeable maps and clocks would b cool because you could have them seen to everyone on multiplayer and they can make custom adventure maps more intresting.
No, we're making the point that you're not supposed to remake existing threads. It's against the forum rules and a bit spammy. Not to mention I'm sure most people on the forums have already heard this idea.

I'm in favour of this, though maybe the clock should be made into a block with wood arround it on the crafting table or something? As for the map: I definately want this for my inevitable "map table war room".

or seeing as there's no function currently for right clicking with the clock, there's no need.
As for the idea, I've read it a bunch of times, but I've never disagreed with it. I would LOVE to have a clock mounted to the wall, it's just for that aesthetic purpose. It would also make gold a bit more useful, because then people would want it for their rooms, and their inventory. As for maps, we first need a way to align maps so there is no overlap or gap between them. I was thinking like this.
I couldn't find a map on the recipe designer, so the book is a map. The map used in the recipe, and where it's placed in the recipe, decides what map and what side of it will be aligned to. Right clicking a wall with one map would place the map held item thing up on the wall, and if two aligned maps are placed next to each other, they link together, letting you make it any shape you want.
