The Ravine Dimension
Ever wonder what Minecraft could look like if we tipped it on its side?
The Canvas
Switch the 128 Height limit with one of the widths and fill both sides of the limited width with bedrock.
The Atmosphere
Magical Biome:
1. Add lots of cobblestone padding to the sides.
2. Fill ledges with a layer or more of dirt.
3. Add different hues of glowing mushrooms small and Large.
4. Vines and roots growing everywhere.
5. Cave plants scattered on the grass like wild grass.
6. Rare Cave flowers growing in dark places.
7. Pools of water on larger ledges with waterfalls pouring off the side.
...
Sandy Biome:
1. Add lots of cobblestone padding to the sides.
2. Add sandstone ledges with layers of sand.
3. Cave cactus growing occasionally.
4. Small lizards scurrying around.
5. More cave flowers that abide in sandy places.
6. Redstone is now found in sandstone which creates a glowing underside to the sandy ledges.
...
Large Water Pocket Biome:
1. A huge pocket of water spanning from both walls.
2. The inside is filled with plants and glowing jellyfish.
...
Frozen Biome:
1. Snow and ice covered walls and ledges.
2. Rare Crystals can be found here. (Just for looks unless you can think of a use)
...
Applied to all biomes:
1. Iron is scattered throughout the cobblestone.
2. Diamonds are found behind pockets of lava near the bedrock.
3. Some ledges have gold veins inside.
...
Mobs:
I've already suggested a few, but obviously cows and pigs in the ravine would be strange. I would like to see creatures that give relatively the same items, but look more cave oriented. Like:
1. Bats
2. fairies
3. Tavlers (They exist!)
...
Suggestions by Others:
Fabianzzz - Generated wooden bridges with vines in the magical biome.
Ores 'n' Picks - Crystals used to make armor, weapons, and tools, or even magical wands.
The Final Product (whatever it may be)
I would like to be able to climb or descend without end in a magical looking ravine. This is just a few of my thoughts for this concept. I don't want to go into too much detail because I like to hear others creative ideas. Please let me know what you think about this, what you would add, what you would take out, or if you want me too design more concepts for critiquing.

Thank you! Although, I still think it needs improvement.
Thank you! I thought it should be mentioned. :smile.gif:
