Nether villages.
I was thinking about villages and I was like "how about some nether villages"!
(as suggested by Fredex): There could be Shades or Ghosts of dead villagers, and the villages could be crumbling ruins, like a post apocalypse village.
Another Idea (suggested by Msj2705) was that the villages could be of zombie pigmen, a good contrast to the real world villages if they become inhabited by pigmen in future updates. Perhaps you could trade with them or just kill them and loot their stuff.
If anyone has any other ideas, or suggestions to improve these ones, do tell. Even one or two small ideas would help. Thanks :3.
Nether villages.

I don't have alot of ideas for them but obviously they'd be made from nether brick and whatnot. They could have either demons, different kinds of ghost or zombie testificates,or maybe zombie pigmen. They should be neutral up until you hurt one of them, at which point they swarm and kill you. If the inhabitants are demons i was thinking maybe you could make a pact with them to either help you fight in the nether (burn up in normal world) or to give you a special power depending on the type of demon they are. That or you could just trade with them for rare items, or maybe they wouldn't do anything at all?
Anyways tell me what you think and things I should add :3.
Ok here's a better idea.
Take the ugly %*&$%[email protected]& looking npcs from the normal world, put them into the nether as some "mutated" settlers who've been in the nether for a while... There's an excuse for the ugly retarded testificates. But i still like your idea.
"Possessed" humans could inhabit some of these villages too...
How about if when a village spawned in the world a nether village spawned in the same location as it but in the nether, it could be occupied by the same number of villagers only they would be shades instead, like ghosts of the real people. The houses could have crumbled and burned, the idea being that, since the nether is timeless, this is the future of that village when they have all died and the houses turned to ruins.
Bit dark?
Actually, nevermind what I said earlier, this guy's idea is amazing!

Your idea is awesome because the nether is all all about dark. I'll add it in. Also it might be a bit hard to make the villages in the same place because the nether is so different, and what if you killed a villager in one village but not the other? but your ideas are still great.post apocalypse= boss.

Great idea, I like it, and it adds to the mystery of the Nether
Just because they may or may not have only half of a brain, and that half of a brain may or may not be rotting, does not mean that they are not advanced enough to have a society. They do use tools, after all.
They're already friendly enough to perhaps even trade with them in the future - if trading of any form is ever implemented. They're already smarter than the Testificates that act like 1.7 sheep when you hit them.
Might be sort of neat to see a zombie pigman village if regular pigmen end up being villagers on the overworld as well.

They're like Pigmen only with Ghasts.
They can't shoot exploding fireballs at you, but they have flint and iron.
Coming soon: Nintendo World Resource Pack
Not saying I dislike the idea, just not sure if the community would accept it.

What? Nope, I really think this is a bad idea.
