Kinda gets boring seeing the same size tree everywhere. Maybe have more sizes like very tall or wider trees. Kinda like a redwood forest. Or even palm trees in the desert or near oceans.
2. Scuba gear/ocean ideas
I was excited for bigger/deeper oceans, but they're still boring and empty. Would like to see schools of fish or kelp. Having scuba gear would also make it a lot better for exploration. Maybe a helmet would be the mask and feet could be flippers for faster swimming/diving.
2b. Swamp biomes should be more dense. They still don't feel swampy really.
3. Boats.
We need boats that hold more people. Maybe attach certain items together to make a bigger boat that holds 3+ players or even be able to attach normal boats together with string and have the first boat be the one that steers and moves.
The string idea would also work well with a portable chest or furnace.
4. Hang glider
Imagine being at the top of a mountain and wanting to get down faster or going a certain distance that would take forever on foot. Why not use a nice hang glider? They would work similar to a flying pig in the aether, but you would only be able to jump your usual 1 block.
5. Puddles from rain.
Would be a neat idea if rain makes little puddles sometimes in small holes.
6. More weather.
Maybe fog could be a nice addition. Similar to the render distance fog but less intense and you can walk through it. Would also work great with swamp biomes
can't think of more ATM
7. Mob spawn options.
I have been thinking about this one for a very long time.
Add more world options for mobs. As in removing a certain mob or changing the spawn intensitiy of each mob. Like removing all mobs but zombies and cranking up the spawn rate. Have like an intense run to your house when you have 20 zombies following you would be a nice challenge.
7b. More mobs.
Birds -
We've all seen the mod where you had birds flying around and you could feed them seeds. That was a great mod and would like to see something like that.
Buzzards would be nice for the desert area. They fly high and could take your food if a mob dropped it. Could be like a race against one trying to get the food if it was at a good distance.
Fish-
Like stated in the ocean ideas, schools of fish would be a good addition. You could throw bread into the water and they would eat it.
Sharks would be rare but if you were swimming out in the middle of an ocean you could have a 20% chance of being attacked.
Reptiles-
Lizards would be in the desert and can burrow underground if startled. Would drop a lizard tail which would give you half a hunger back.
Alligators would be in the swamp biome and would be 3 or 4 blocks in length. they run a little faster than spiders and can deal a good bit of damage. Also would be 40% rare.
Tortoises would be found in swamps and desert biomes. They would be 1 block in size and roam around like a normal animal. They will try to run away but will be slow. They would be 30% rare.
Nether-
Pigmen are the only passive mob, but there should be a few mobs that aren't harmful at all.
8. Combat-
Right clicking with the sword is neat but having a shield equipped and right clicking would block and would deal less damage.
To get a sword you would need to kill tortoises and they will drop shell fragments. You place them in a certain design in the 3x3 bench and it would make a shield.

Notch said he'll get this (larger boats) when he adds in support for larger vehicles :biggrin.gif: Can't wait

This could be added in to creative mode only, or set up at world creation. I think that the player has enough control over the world as it is, without needing to be a God of mobs as well. Mobs represent a challenge that the player has to live with, and the Peaceful mode is often an abomination in my opinion (many people while fighting mobs just turn it to peaceful to make the problem "go away". Either you play on peaceful, or you play on easy/normal/hard. No annoying switching between the two)
Although more mobs would be nice, they should be less based on real life animals. I like how Notch adds mobs slowly, lots of mobs in the one update would kind of unbalance the game

You have some nice ideas there. Keep it up.
