In minecraft there is about four screen effects, getting caught on fire and having flames on your screen, stepping through a nether portal, going underwater, and sprinting. (there might be more that i dont know of) But I think we could use more, to add that epic feeling. Here is some i though of.
Surfacing Effect- When coming out of the water, you should get blue transparent water particles( in pixels) slowly runing down your screen. It supposed to look like the water is runing down your face. Hey, it makes sense.
Dust Effect- When a creeper explodes or a TNT block explodes and your a safe distance away from it, you should get dust particles and bits of dirt on your screen and then slowly fade away. Also, when following another player that is sprinting, the dirt he or she kicks up should also add this effect on your screen, and possibly chasing a animal that is runing away from you would add this effect.
Pain Effect- I know that minecraft doesn't really show off blood, because its supposed to be a E for Everyone rated game, and lots of other games have this effect. But, When under attack by a enemy, you would get red particles(blood) on your screen and also your screen would turn slightly redish. For every heart lost, your screen would get more of these particles and your screen would be more red. When the hearts are healing, your screen would do the opposite.
Falling Effect- When you are falling your screen will turn a bit fuzy and...i don't know how to describe this, you'll look like your falling. When you hit the ground you'll get the Pain Effect.
Blinding Effect- When you look at the sun you will get an effect that slightly blinds you, but you still can see the world around you a little bit. This would work if your reticle is on the sun. This doesn't work on the moon(obviously).
Sweating Effect- When you walk into a Desert biome and stay there for at least a minute or two you'll get water particles runing from the top of the screen to the bottom to resemble sweat. As soon as you jump in water this effect will be gone until you wait another minute. At night this effect goes away. Note- This effect could kill you if Notch adds Realism mode on, or if he adds a thirst meter.
Freezing Effect- When you are in a Snowy biome and stay there for at least a minute or two you'll get white and ice colored transparent particles forming around the edges of the screen, so it would look like your freezing. Jumping in water while under this effect does not do anything. While standing next to fire, lava or a torch, removes this effect. Geting hit with snowballs also adds this effect. At night this efect does not go away. Note- This effect could also kill you, if Notch adds a Temperature meter. Lol..i doubt that.
Egg Effect- If you get hit by an egg that another player has thrown at you, you'll get egg yolk and bits of egg shell on your screen.
Posion Effect- If you got poisoned, your screen would turn a pale greenish yellow and get fuzy over time, once poison is out of your system it would go back to your normal screen.
Fear Effect- You can't see this effect, but when you are in areas without light and you are close to an enemy mob, you'll start to hear your heartbeat. The closer you'll get the louder it gets. This would make fighting endermen bit more scarier hopefully.
But, thats it hopefully you guys like this idea, I might have mispeeled a couple of words but yeah. Please comment! I like to read comments..
