Hi, I've been playing minecraft for a while and thought it'd be cool if things like chandeliers, chains, and some other stuff were added. So here's my idea:
First things first, chains
Chains would be craftable by placing 2 iron ingots next to each other with a space in the middle, like when dyeing wool, except with ingots, it'd give you 4 chains each time when crafted. Chains can be placed on the ceiling, and act like flowers do, and make a crossed X shape. Chains are climbable, but to climb them you have to right click it, and when doing so, your arms move in to make a grabbing motion (in 3rd person mode, if not 1st)
Chains can also have things hanging on them, or just be used for decoration.
Candles
Candles would be a new type of torch, with possibly less light, but it serves its purpose. To make wax (I'm not sure if this is how wax is made, but hopefully it's a close guess) you have to find bee hives, which are found high on pine trees in the forest. When you break it, you get 3-7 pieces of hive. In the crafting area, you put a piece of hive above a bucket of water to get wax (you get the bucket back *hurr durr*). Put wax underneath of a torch in the crafting area to get a candle.
Bees
I don't care if bees are added or not, but I know some people do, so I'll describe what their behavior might be like so we can discuss it. Bees are small, they have a black head, wings, and 4 stripes. They're peaceful towards the player and spawn from the bee hive (without the smoke). They're fairly small and fly through the forest biome 'looking' for materials to bring back to the hive. If you get too close to the hive (I'd say around 4-5 blocks) they'll become hostile and attack you until you get out of that range. Bees do half a heart of damage every other sting, 1 punch is enough to kill them, and maybe if you step/jump on them that can kill them. On death, the bees don't drop anything (maybe a small chance for an experience orb).
Bees are also attracted to you if you have cookies or cake in your inventory, or cake placed in your house. They won't attack you, they'll just follow you around, unless you leave the forest biome or go underground. If you throw the cake or cookie on the ground, maybe the bees could pick it up and carry it back to their hive.
Chandeliers
There're 2 kinds of chandeliers, iron and gold. To craft a chandelier, you use the ingot of your choice, and put then in the crafting area as you would if you were making a stick, then you'll get rods. The next part of making a chandelier is putting a single ingot in the crafting area, this will give you a 'dish' (best name I could think of :tongue.gif:) the dish is what the torch/candle goes in. The chandelier is a block that takes up the amount of room a + sign would (cobble's the chandelier)-
and a chandelier is crafted like so (stick= rod, iron ingot= chain, torch= torch, glowstone, or candle)-
Chandeliers can be hung from the celing, or connected to chains hanging from the ceiling.
Chain Armor
This has been discussed in other threads, but it feels like it'd be left out if it wasn't in this thread, some people want chainmail, some people don't, and some people don't care. I for one don't care, I don't use armor, but It'd be crafted like any other piece of armor, except using chains. If this was added, it'd only be for aesthetics, because it's as durable as gold, and kind of looks cool, depending on your texture pack.
Candles i've seen in a mod, and it used a bee-keeping system to gather wax. I like the concept for aesthetic purposes. It also had both gold and iron chandeliers so I assume you have seen the mod.
Chain armor needs to be in the game without hacks already so I'll agree with that as well.
Candles would make the chandelier look nicer, and I fixed the chain recipe
Nevermind this
I know it doesn't matter if there's a mod, but I was trying to point out that if you're looking for immediate satisfaction you could get the mod while you wait for this to possibly be added. Also the new chains recipe is good, I doubt notch could think of any way to justify using that crafting recipe for anything other than chains.

I made a beekeeping thread a month (or two) ago, and I also said stuff about candles. I thought it would be really cool to be able to dye candles, and have them then give off the color they are in light. Just a thought.

You can't make metre cubed pieces of rock get jiggy with each other, that's just WRONG.

Hope you like the ideas, thanks for reading!
EDIT: I support.
Oh yeah XD
I'll change it

EDIT: I shall one day slay all the ninja posters, for I am a samurai
Doesn't matter if it's a mod :tongue.gif:

I haven't o.o
Off Topic: how come I only have 10 posts a day?
Oh... well your idea is very close to the mod (BlueXephos has a vid of it I think).
