There's not a single fun song that makes you feel like adventuring. There's no good combat music to get your heart pounding. There's no excitement in the soundtrack. Nothing scary plays if you go into the deep dark or you're almost dead. Minecraft's music is the kind of stuff you would play at a funeral. Perhaps its beautiful music and all, but that just does not suit Minecraft. :sad.gif:
There should be music thats less boring and more fun. I always play Minecraft with the music off because of the funeral music, but if Minecraft had some cool music that changed all the time and was unique, I would have music on.
As you get further and further into dark areas or places with lots of monsters, the music will change. When its very dark, or you go outside at night, (le gasp!) something similiar to this will play.
If you're in a dangerous fight between alot of monsters, especially in the Nether, something like this will play.
Most of the time, something similiar to this will play.
And then in other situations, different music could play. :smile.gif:
It might seem a little bit like a bad idea, but it would be much better than the stupid funeral music that makes the Minecraft experience seem so dull and boring.
Obviously you've only heard one song. There's tons of songs in Minecraft! You could always use a green music disc too. Or here, an even better idea: Play Minecraft with the music turned off! Bam, problem solved

I've heard every song from Minecraft. I don't mean to be close minded, but they all sound very very similiar.
Also, obviously you haven't read the entire post. :dry.gif:

I think that would be very fitting in adventure mode. Although I do love the Minecraft Soundtrack and the music of C418 (the guy who made the Minecraft Soundtrack) I can agree its getting somewhat old and some new, more livly music would be nice.
I've had the exact same idea a while ago. It would be a great addition to an already brilliant game. Also the music should be customizable, so you could choose your favorite music for the different biomes etc. But it might be hard to implement, since minecraft doesn't contain scripted levels like many other game, and it can be annoying if unfitting music plays or the track changes every second. Still, I hope Notch will at least try to implement this idea.
