Hello. Everybody knows that 1.8 is the greatest update for now, but 1.9 can be MUCH better. I have some suggestions for 1.9, post comments, please.
-> NPC VILLAGES:
* Probably these will be added: Possibility to claim lands or be in war against a village.
* So as to make the NPC spawn constant, make a monster spawner randomly in the village (but in a much more limited number of creatures comparing to normal spawners)
* Quests with items, better reputation and experience orbs as rewards.
-> HUGE MUSHROOM BIOME:
* Mooshroom (mushroom cow) as the only mob in this biome.
* Instead of Tall Grass, put Mushrooms.
* Huge Mushrooms instead of trees (probably will be like that), but with 25% of the density that forests have.
* Different floor texture (probably will be like that)
-> MOBS
* New unique mob for Nether. (fire elemental maybe?)
* Fish
* Dragons (with a biome for them, dragon rocks, and very rare, like 50x more rare than dungeons)
* As Giants are useless, put them as the boss of the Stronghold.
* Prefix mobs (cobble creeper, grass spider, stone zombie) and properties for each type. (example: obsidian creeper, -50% blast power and radius but double health)
-> NETHER:
* Put villages of Zombie Pigmen there (this would be interesting) with the same respawn and quest mechanism as normal NPC villages.
-> SKILLS:
* Greater damage on bows and swords
* Faster mining (expensive, excludes OBSIDIAN)
* Faster OBSIDIAN mining (very expensive)
* Faster movement speed
* Advanced blocking (level 1: 50% movement speed, Level 2: 75% speed, level 3: 90%, also blocks EXPLOSIONS, expensive)
* Health increase
* Greater armor health
* Bigger food bar
-> MISC:
* New height limit from 128 to 512 (plzzzzz)
* Peak biome
* Put the Real Herobrine, but extremely rare and in very deep abandoned mineshafts (that would also be interesting)
* Adventure Mode...
* As food is almost obligatory for Survival, water should be too.
* Paint functionals (as the paint mod) and possibility to paint the whole block at once
* The OFFICIAL Sky Dimension.
* Volcanoes, that can lead to the nether, in a different way, instead of portals (maybe accesible by exploring caves inside them without lava) and completely made of Obsidian.

No wishlists please. Also a biome only made of mushroom trees would be over powered, they can drop 10-18 mushrooms per a giant mushroom, that would be far too many mushrooms to collect.
EDIT: And as far as Herobrine being in Minecraft, I'll say no. If Herobrine was in-game and killable it'd make herobrine seem not scary at all. If he was invinsible it'd be over powered and annoying. Aren't blue spiders enough of a threat any way?

Well, huge mushrooms are meant to provide HUGE quantities of mushrooms. And i forgot to put in the Topic that they should be rare.

Mining biomes: These biomes would come with few trees but coal, iron, gold, etc
would spawn more frequently and closer to the sea level.
Spider biome: This biome would contain cobweb everywhere from trees etc and only
spiders would spawn in it and poison spiders and maybe a new mob tree
spiders.
Biomes in the nether: A rare tree biome in the nether where trees with no leaves
would spawn.
Nether crater biomes: Huge craters in the ground that would be like 30x30 and would
go down far and would be the only biome in the nether to
contain minerals from the regular world.
Items:
Ender pearls could be used to craft "Ender boots" these would let you jump 2 high.
A crossbow it would shoot like a fully charged bow cept there would be no charge. just
2-3 shots and then you would have to "reload".
Flaming arrows, these would burn the opponent maybe like flint and steel on top of a
arrow would create 6 flaming arrows?
A closet, Holds more than a double chest.
A way to craft chainmail maybe endermen have a 10% chance to drop one piece of
chainmail.
More ores, Platinum?
Mobs:
Endermen need to be stronger definetly for starters lol.
Baby animals would be cool and adorable.
Aggressive mobs could be able to critical also.
A boss in mineshafts and strongholds.
More uses for wolves.
Misc:
A friends list so you can keep track on what servers your friends are on and if they are
online or not.

Well, if he were invinsable, i think it would give the game a change of pace. Make the gameplay lean more twords survival horror. Make it feel like amnesia. What isn't good about that? And cave spiders are a joke. They can be killed easily with a dimond sword. and the bow and arrow makes a walk in the park a piggy-back ride across the room.
Mining Biomes: They'd turn the game lame. Just find one of that and you're done, you found all ores possible.
Spider Biome: Good, but it'd be better if they were spawned into a cave.
Chainmail: Endermen shouldn't drop them.. senseless, but I was thinking that if used around 25% of what you use to craft iron pieces to craft chainmail, would be good.

What about this idea. Nothing really exciting but I can see it maybe happening. Herding animals like sheep, cows, and pigs. This could come in handy with breeding which is believed to be in 1.9. There could be something like a staff? to herd animals. This staff could be made from 3 sticks maybe. What do you guys think? Wish to get this idea to notch.

Hmm, this is a very odd idea. Interesting to be honest. But in my opinion, the animal breeding should be something more free, you know. It is not a bad idea, though.
