I don't really like the giant mushrooms as is... they're kinda... dumb... :tongue.gif: If they're gonna be a useful addition to the game I think they need to be tweaked a lot.
like how right now, bone meal on a little mushroom gives you a big mushroom, and how big mushrooms drop little mushrooms when you break them..(I believe)
It would be better if, instead, large mushrooms needed to grow naturally from small ones. You shouldn't be able to force them. when you use bone meal on a mushroom it should help the mushrooms spread (like wildgrass when you bone meal the ground, but less strong).
also, giant mushrooms should drop some less useful substance.. "tough fungus" or "giant mushroom flesh". It would be fairly useless. maybe restore .5 - 1.5 food points. but because it is such a novelty to have it could be used for something else (maybe boiled down to create something, or you could make mushroom armor out of it.. i dunno)
and a final thought, different types of mushrooms should grow in different biomes. so you could have a swamp mushroom, or a cave mushroom, or a forest mushroom. this way, although mushrooms are now more common, you still need to do some exploring if you want a lot of mushroom stew.
anyway.. my thoughts... input?

If you're in a bad mood when you're disgruntled... does that mean when you're gruntled you're in a good mood?
This thought gruntles me greatly.
i actually love the concept. i mean, i really doesn't have to make sense. like if you break the bottom of a tree, the rest floats. that sort of thing. you know?
I agree that they should generate off of regular mushrooms (in addition to bonemeal, I like the portable houses), but I think they should drop the actual blocks that are generated instead of anything like small mushrooms. They would be an incredibly fun material to build with.
