ok, so here are some little ideas, what if we changed a few things about mob behavior to make it more realistic, such as they will run away if they see another mob that isn't a monster get hurt. Also, they would get spooked and run from certain noises, such as tnt when its in a (number) radius of it, same with arrows that land. Just a simple idea.

I disagree about the sounds, but having, say cows run away when other cows are hurt seems nice. This will help them stay away from cliffs as well! :biggrin.gif:
People have opinions, i just thought it would be realistic, since loud noises spook animals sometimes, kinda like how deer can hear you move and they run away.

Okay, so a definitive "maybe" on sounds, but only for passive mobs. Hostiles should be attracted to them, rather.

But really, all joking asside, god idea. Minus the Door-Slamming, sounds too much like L4D[2, considering that they spazz out, coming from nowhere at a Midnight Rider's concert]
You could expand this further by having friendly mobs of the same type sticking together in herds;
They regroup after scattering due to noise/attack nearby.
When they see one of their own, they wonder over and stick together.
Chickens become broody and stick by their eggs.

Exactly! Same with steps and hurt sounds. The effect would be lowered near flowing water and lava, and amplified in caves.
