game settings should be on a world by world basis not universal. lets face it most all of us have many world files. some that we play for different reasons. lets say you have one world were you do a lot of caving. and you like to fight a lot of mobs. so you put the brightness on gloomy so its good and dark. and the mobs are set to hard. and another world were you like to build and build and build. so you set the brightness to 100% so you can keep working in the dark . and the mobs set to peaceful. because nothing can make you fly into a full on nerd rage then having a creeper blow something that you have been working on to smithereens.
The way it is now you have to keep readjusting the game settings every time you switch worlds. i know its not that hard to do that. but doing that over and over gets old .

Neither have I, but I see what he's getting at.
Have you ever played a game, where you have to do something in particular, but you keep dying in the process?
You eventually get annoyed, having to do something over-and-over again.
It would make life easier for some people, so why not?
