Notch recently confirmed the ending of development for Minecraft beta is near. Before that, Notch will have to cram as much content as possible into the next few updates. Sort of like when he released 1.8, or the "Adventure Update." I have created this topic to help out Notch in his ending of Minecraft. You can suggest things in this thread for me to put up on the original post.
Creative Mode Creative mode needs a lot of work. Including the fact of you having to throw infinite items out of your inventory where you can pick them up again. My suggestions:
A Trashcan, Just so you don't have to keep throwing out your blocks to add new ones to the hot bar.
A better gui, We need shift clicking to the trashcan, and scrolling instead of using your left click.
Last one, Instant kill, The name explains everything.
Combat Combat needs to be improved instead of just repeatedly clicking the monster. Also, we need a use for the "block technique." My suggestions:
Fatigue: Yes I'm getting that from "Oblivion." But it is a better way to improve minecraft, just so you cant repeatedly click. This way, you have to use the blocking technique.
Blocking, when blocking you should only take 25% to 50% of the damage. Thats it for this.
Adding a bit of Fear to the game, When an enemy is near, you slow down, your vision becomes blacker, sort of like when your sleeping. As your fatigue lowers, the screen will become darker and darker as you get more tired.
Sleeping This gets REALLY annoying! when you sleep the world should simulate itself, that way, if your smelting something overnight you can sleep through it.
As suggested by FriedSoup: Nightmares will increase your fear.
Enderman I do indeed know he's in progress, but I can still suggest.
Instead of you looking straight at him and he attacks you, It should be if you look away he will come closer.
Ender pearls, They should be more rare, along with Enderman needing to be SO much more rare. He will only drop an EnderPearl half the time, and they can be used for tools as strong as Diamond.
Thats all thats inside my head, Suggest in the comments and I might add it up here.
version 2.0 is not the end of developement. the game will stop developin when Notch stops making video games. it is only leaving beta in Nov. it still will get updated after that point.
To solve the litter bin idea, just move items into the item list or drop them outside your inventory, that's how you get rid of items on your hot bar in creative.
Sleeping is over-powered, I'd rather beds be taken out and a different kind of spawn setting way to be put in, if you want things to happen whilst you're sleeping, why not get a mod like that Somnia one, it does what you want.
I thought damage was reduced by 50% with blocking? Perhaps I haven't been playing enough with it even though I seem to deflect 50% of damage from zombies. Blocking is essentially worthless as mobs don't stop attacking, there's no window to block, you just block, take half damage, walk really slow and don't deal damage to the mob(s) causing you to lose more health than if you were to just kill the mob(s) any way.
I don't want an aspect of 'fear', that means Creepers can't really creep up on you and removes an element of surprise in the game, when I walk into a new cavern, the scary part is being crept up on behind or hearing the sounds, the second most scary part is seeing the mob walk out of the shadows or getting hit by them. Keeping you on edge is best, adding 'fear' in the way you detail doesn't make the game better really, if any thing it can make you careless relying on this warning system to tell you when to twirl around and swing your sword.

You are knocked back by a mob that hit you, therefore they wont continually attack as they need to catch up to you first

Creepers are silent though, if you cant hear them or see them your fear wont go up. Oh, and the fear is an idea to help make minecraft HARDER. Notch adding things that made minecraft more easy since Alpha, why not try these?

I'm insulted, your excessive use of exclamation marks is unnecessary plus you can't relay your suggestions in the way you mean the to be read or you can't finalise your suggestions before posting them. Mods aren't always suggestions to add to Minecraft, a lot of mods have been created because the creators of them know Mojang won't add the idea to Minecraft because it's so absurdly different to Minecraft
Heres a post from the section moderator:
Suggestions is a place to suggest things to add to the base game. Posting "There is a mod for that" is not only unhelpful it is very off-topic so don't do that.
*Update*
Posting "There is a Texture Pack for that" falls under this as well. Just wanted to clarify that.

On the second part where you say nothing will be added because it is different doesn't mean notch will take an interest in it. How do you think the game improved from infdev? Notch would have had a hard time without his community.
