Ok i have an idea when generating a abandon mineshaft make a little platform of stone under each section thats not on the ground or where its not on the ground. Thanks for reading if you make a mod to do this or something let me know :biggrin.gif:
Yeah, no... It isn't an idea problem it's a code problem, feel free to learn javascript and do it yourself. I'm sure after a week you'll have more experience than Jeb has in 14 years.
I doubt it's impossible. If they can have coding to spawn chests and wooden planks and rails, they can add stone blocks under it all as part of its generation.
Considering I don't actually know its generation code, it could also simply generate after everything else.
That "learn some javascript" thing is BS. This is the suggestions board. You know, for suggesting things to be added.

well if i had the time and knew what i was doing and had a good computer that could do that kind of thing (i dont know if i need a good computer for code) i would but there are people that have the time and the skill and i think jeb is a pro at java script but hes rushed to finish the game before its quickly approaching release date
What if the old mine shaft was there and then it was destroyed? Maybe if it generated in a way that made it look.. destroyed.. when it had no rock under it. That might look even cooler.
Like in that image.. down that hole, instead, you found some random track and some wood. Yknow?

you do realize that minecraft is in java, not javascript right?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If this post was made on a recent date, you have discovered something that is rarer than diamonds. Not as precious though.
It would be extremely easy to code for experienced coders. If the naturally generated fence pieces weren't on a block themselves they would be removed by the world generator before the player could get to them, effectively making them not exist. The wood blocks would also be dependent of a supported fence under them, or being directly connected to a supported wood block. All others, like the floating fences would be removed.
