I simply think some natural looking stone bridges would add a lot of cave feeling. Also mountains with steep "spikes" adjacent to each other could benefit from it.
Something like this, as soon as I find a cool ravine to build one in, I will post some pics :laugh.gif:
Also small stalagmites/stalactites surely would fit big ravines, too.
What do you all think, how would you like some natural stone bridges ? Please share your thoughts :smile.gif:
P.S. I'm pretty sure if they also would replace mineshafts broken by ravines, that would add a lot of atmosphere, too :smile.gif:
(In a way that the top layer of the bridge connects to the floor of the mineshaft)
Did you even notice I'm trying to suggest a nice solution for a world creation problem ?
All those midair mining shafts look strange and some stone bridges would add a nice atmossphere.
you know those midair mineshafts are generation bugs that are going to get fixed.
I am. You simply refuse to get my point here. If this is simply fixed, ravines would cut through mineshafts properly, which is not what I would like to see. Some stone brigdes simply would look cool, in ravines as well as in mountains.

Your idea makes sense and would be easy enough to implement.
However for me personally when I go into caves, ravines, and dungeons I look for a challenge. I want to get stuck on a ledge, and try to use my wit to figure out how to get across or down.It would be nice to have a bridge, but for me personally, I like the challenge it presents. I'd much rather just like to build my own bridge.
It's not a bad idea at all, but for me I could care less.
Okay Blackaura, that's actually a fair point against it. I think they should be somewhat rare and in ravines mostly present to make more sense when ravines and mineshafts intersect.

Well, something like this. Maybe Mineshafts should create after Ravines and should be created with a bottom line of stone like this :
