One thing that's always bugged me about this game: You'll be walking along and, every now and again, might spot a water (or lava)fall seemingly pouring from a cliff. And if you've ever gone to plug them up, they're literally pouring out of thin air.
Rather, they ought to be pouring from flooding caverns inside the cliffs. It'd be an extra bit of realism, and I could have a pool for my cliff home. And I tend to mine directly down into cliffs too so it would add a bit more risk if there were pockets of flooding or lava scattered about.

Some trees in Minecraft are small...Others are massive, either in height or canopy size. I've spent an entire Minecraft day taking out just a few trees, then had to hide in one while night passed to avoid the skeletons. Why can't Notch take a page from Terraria's book: Take out the lowest block of the trunk, and the rest comes with it. Would save on lumberjack time and it'd be much quicker to remove larger canopies (burning could do this but that destroys the resources and isn't predictable)

I love me some My Little Pony and I dance-dance-dance to the epic sax guy. PROBLEM, MINECRAFT FORUM?

There is a mod called "TImber" for the tree part.

Wort, a worti' wort, and a wort wort and a wort wort wort!
For the first suggestion I think you have yet to fall in lava with diamonds, on the second suggestion minecraft does not have straight up trees so it will make it unrealistic, but if you are cheap with wood just get the timburr mod.
the pools in cliffs would be cool but there is always a bit of realism lost when a spring can infinitely pour its contents, as for the trees i think the gathering of wood would be too quick and easy if you only had to cut the bottom block but there is always mods that let you do this. just use birch trees if you want easy to cut trees

1) Yes I have. I'm just not a sore loser about it.
2) Minecraft has straight up trees. Look at the trunks. Straight, no branches. :tongue.gif:
