I would like to suggested that when a piston moves over a tilled block of dirt, the dirt will not revert back to its untilled form. Using pistons to cultivate is creative and efficient, but it is annoying that one has to re-till all the soil afterwards :sad.gif:

That's not what I meant. I already have a system for when any wheat falls into the water, the water drags it away to a central location. If I take the time to set up 50 pistons and all the redstone to activate them at the same time, it just feels right that the soil should stay tilled. I have to replant the seeds still, anyway.

He's not even asking for automated farming, just that it not un-till his soil. Doesn't sound like a terribly big deal to me.
