I think that the Ender Pearls should be used in a crossing pattern in the crafting table and then tuned in to Ender Fibers... or something like string, but it the Ender Fibers should be used in a 9X9 pattern to make a Dream Catcher, and when you sleep while holding the Dream Catcher you go to the Dream World (the Dream World would be like an inverse of the original word or at least opposite times), but you are only there for the time it takes for the game to go to day. Also then people will want to keep it night in the real world so there would be a kind of Ender Sheep or something to make a Dream Bed. Tell me what you think, I am not sure how well I explained it but it sounds like a really cool concept in my head.

Simple weapon augmentations, perhaps incorporating some other ideas into the mix to increase damage on certain mobs. The augmentations would likely need to be done with other elements in the game as well to make it so a player has to choose between different benefits. ender pearls maybe increase the range of a weapon because of the teleporting ability of the Enderman. other augmentations could be venom from spiders or igniting an enemy for a short time with something related to creepers. inspired by fable.

i think the ender-spawn and teleportation ideas are good concidering i get lost in caves and stuff all the time.

P.S. perhaps the augmentations should ware off so that it doesn't overpower.

what about being craftable to items like arrows to stun or confuse the mobs, like add to arrows

This makes A "Portal Trans-modifier"(Green being diamond blocks, and lava being a redstone torch). If you connect this with redstone to a nether portal in the overworld, It will bind it to be a "return to" portal, instead of a "fast travel" when you make multiple nether portals in the nether. yes, i understand this currently would be a waste of resources with the current "Enter for stuff near portal, exit." This is meant for when more nether content is available, making scouring the nether worthwile for rare resources(diamond level)

In other words, if you connect it to a portal in overworld, enter the portal, make another portal, connect another to the new portal in nether, that portal will bring you back to portal in overworld with connection, kind of like a "stargate encoder".

Yes, it is a VERY expensive recipe, but its uses are very useful for people who have...say...a content mod for the nether (nethercraft?).

The recipie would make 2 of the devices, and it will be a halfblock of diamond color, with a center "pistonlike" raise up of black. (btw, I'm kind of mad, typing this post bugged my keyboard out, i can't make " with right-shift anymore...Damn Saitek Eclipse III)

i think it should be crafted into a ender block and thae ender block is put in the crafting grid with piece of iron and turns into a teleporter reciever which is a teleporting reciever and you make a teleporter by putting an ender pearl underneath an iron ingot and creates a teleporter and to use it you can put the teleporter on on your hand by right clicking on the chest plate and you wear it on your wrist and when you stand on a ender reciever and wright click on it it asks you where would you like to teleport and you ave a list because you name each location of each reciever and you click on the one you want and 3 seconds later you are at the location :wink.gif: and maybe you have to be wearin a golden chest plate it would give use for gold other than the clock because the golentools are useless

or if you can eat enderpearls, you could be immune or you could get them to follow you or you could be an enderman for about... 10 minutes? or maybe less...

or whatever you hit with the enderarrow, nearby enderman (1 enderdude) will attack it. kinda like dogs. but there is a catch: after launch, you get damaged one heart

16 Ender Pearls make a necklace, or bracer of some sort. The resulted item (whatever it might be) will let you teleport once to a location in sight, or maybe to the last bed you slept in. It's used immediately after you put it on. The item disappears after one use. When used in the Nether it causes an explosion like a bed does when used in the Nether. Also after use; your character is surrounded by the Enderman's purple glowing effect for a small amount of time.

Although I think the Necklace would be a better idea considering it could go on the helmet slot, where as the Bracer would only seem rational if there was something like a glove/ arm band slot. I know there is a lot of flaws in my idea... It's super late, my hair's nuts right now and I was too into my own post to take this song off repeat via iTunes. I'm gonna go shoot myself in the face, one love.

Ender Pearls should act like flash bombs, When thrown they leave smoke and confuses the mobs attacking/approaching you.

Going off of the portal/teleportation idea, maybe if you could build 2 different portals in the world, you could walk into one and teleport to the other portal location!

4 ender pearls + stick = endermallet

-Hitting an enemy mob will store them in the endermallet
-Only 1 mob to be stored
-Endermallet is destroyed when releasing the mob.

My preference is for Ender Pearls to be formed into aforementioned Enderblocks (nice idea), which can then be formed into Portals which teleport players, not to another dimension, but simply to another Ender Portal in the overworld, allowing the player to create a network of Portals in between their various buildings. The only trouble is choosing which Portal leads where. It could teleport simply to the nearest Portal, or could choose randomly among all the Portals in the world (including perhaps some pre-built Portals in a hidden underground Enderman lair).

Also, a craftable item using multiple Ender Pearls that is destroyed after one use and teleports the player back to the last spawn point. A lot of games have items like these to quickly exit a dungeon.

I read in the wiki (in the upcoming features page) that Jeb said that their will be something stronger then diamond tools, but instead of new tools it would be an upgrade apparently, so maybe Ender Pearls are going to be used to upgrade the weapons and tools? So yeah, I obviously voted "Other".

Portal to sky dimension is a great idea! At first I was thinking "Portal?" to much like nether portals . But its where the portal takes you that matters! Sky Dimension shold be like th anti-nether in appearance but after investigation not be as pretty as it seems.

I prefer the teleporting idea where if you have the Ender pearl on your hand and you right click, it will teleport you the block you were looking at. Use it wisely because after that one use, you can't use it for 5 minutes.

I've seen this tossed around a lot, and it sounds solid and vanilla to me.
Make the pearls craft-able with one or more items in-game and they become a one-time-use teleporting device back to
your spawn or bed. Ender pearl becomes ender port, maybe? Craft with gold and soulsand?
Sorry if this idea is already up there, but I like it a lot, and so do a lot of my American and Australian
minecrafters.
