Good idea. I think it would be easier to add with the new lighting system the it would have been with the old one so maybe this has more of a chance now then it did before.

-I got a fever, and the only prescription, is moar Minecraft.
Thanks for the support everyone :smile.gif: Everyone spam his twitter or reddit for stained glass :smile.gif:))
Dye + Planks = Dyed Wood!!
That would be nice, little white-wood suburban utopias.
Maybe just add colors for glass, wood planks, and bricks? We don't want to get carried away here...

Bricks? Meh. Colored bricks would be iffy. There would probably be a mod for that. I understand texture packs for multi colored bricks like the red to reddish brown colors..
Although it has been suggested before they have changed the lighting system since then. The new lighting system supports colored light so it's "possible" to have this now. The only reason I put possible in quotes is because this might be something that could cause Java to choke on lower end computers. *Shrugs* I would love to see this get into the game but there is a possibility that it would not work.
TL;DR: I support if it has a practical implementation.
I remember Notch saying it would be impossible without a whole new lighting system...
The following day I believe someone made a mod...
You should have to stain sand then smelt it
There's no difference, and that's not how stained glass is really made. But good suggestion!
There was a paint mod somewhere that Notch took an interest in at some point I know. Ideally, rather then having to dye individual panes of glass I think it would be awesome if it were implemented and when you paint on glass it just tinted the glass instead.
just so long as I could make parts of pictures in each pain I would be happy. i would like to fit a full creeper in a 2x6 window. that would make for epic rooms, windows with creepers, endermen, herobane...
I was just checking on my thread and was made aware in a reaction that Vixolus1 already made a thread about this topic.
I have to admit that I couldn't be arsed to check the existing threads because I was convinced it was a stroke of genius the moment I thought up of it.
Read the first post and you'll catch my initial idea's drift - They've proven to have the coding for making transparant blocks which apply themselves to surrounding blocks. Making semi-transparant blocks with a colored hue could make ANY type of material a different color instead of specifically making 10 colors for every material.
Yes, I know how much Mojang loves saving digital space.
I am Jaedumuth and I approve of this thread's topic, but only for as far as it agrees with my thread. :cool.gif:

I'll twitter him for it! Afterward, I think we should all twitter him on the horse idea.
I didn't go into much detail or show pictures, because I'm sure you can figure it out. It's simple enough :smile.gif:
