Environment:Mountains/Cliffs AI: Hostile Drop: Angry Pebble, can be used to amplify defense boosts in potions. Also amplifies already existing slow down effects.
Misc: Chaotic spirits that briefly inhabit boulders and chunks of stone to cause destruction. These sprites are fond of banding together and causing an avalanche. If there aren't enough around, then they are content to simply hurl themselves off the highest point they can and smash into an unsuspecting victim below. Once on the ground, they will roll towards their target rapidly attempting to cause as much damage as possible.
Attacking these creatures with a sword would have little effect, but they are incredibly vulnerable to pick-axes. They have little need for self preservation, as the spirit within will survive even if the boulder does not. This makes them reckless. They are not invulnerable to falling damage, and even if they have to take you out with them, they will leap from a lethal height.
Not sure what they should drop. Open to suggestions!
They should be mimics from the blocks in Strongholds.
I could see that being a cool variant. They wouldn't be shapeshifters, like mimics, but they could have a variety that looks like dungeon blocks!
That's a very cool idea! I don't like the name, they should be spirit rocks or something. As to the drop, they could drop 0-1 of Rock spirit or something that can 'heal' tools! xD
PS what is the Quintessential Creature mod doing in 1.3? That looks awesome, just add this and some of your other ideas, It could be insanely popular! The trolls are so cool, you NEED to update them to 1.8!
Thanks! I may change the name, maybe something derived from Avalanche. Hard to say.
I'm not certain about dropping the spirit, but something that could be used to heal tools might not be a bad idea.
QC is stalled for now. We hit a few real life blockades and it's slowed us down to a halt. Hopefully we can get back in to it soon. I feel motivated after playing some of 1.8!
as always, amazing suggestion! perhaps the drop is simply a stone similar to them but without the faces? it would drop several boulder blocks. the difference in amount could depend on the pick type. just an idea.
also, originally i came to ask about qc, but i see it's been mentioned. on the 2.0 thread, everyone's all depressed, assuming it's abandoned. you might want to change the OP and edit the title, saying "not abandoned!" or something like that. i don't care when it comes out since it will awesome when it does :smile.gif:

No, I'm not some n00b that makes there username have to do with the game they're playing. There were no Endermen in Alpha. N00bs.
I think all mobs should have unique drops... what I enjoy about Minecraft is that every enemy you kill offers you an item that you can get nowhere else. So it makes it much more worth while to kill them.

Boulder Sprites should drop Boulder Pieces. Boulder Pieces allow you to make Boulder tools and armors/Boulder Piece drops should also be an uncommon drop, Boulder Sprites should also drop 2-5 Boulder Pieces. Boulder tools and armors are stronger than diamond but there durability is between stone and iron. There should also be one new weapon. The Boulder Hammer. Can be used as a weapon and a tool. Meaning it can do good damage against players and mobs and can also break blocks faster than diamond. The bad thing to it, is that it hits slow against mobs and players. In order to make a Boulder Hammer you have to get a Boulder Ingot. To make a boulder ingot you place Boulder Pieces in a furnace and it should smelt to Boulder Ingots. Boulder Ingots take a while to smelt, around 1 minute for one.

if your really good at textureing can you make a spce suit armour type or a giant yellow spider or a spce zombie
I got a crazy idea. What if the "spirit" could travel between all solid blocks.
So imagine it was chasing you, and you hid in your home. It could leave its "body" outside your wall, and move through any solid blocks. It could then attack you with a melee attack if it got close enough to you, from the block. You could kill it only by attacking the body outside the wall, which wouldn't move until the spirit returned to it. You could "stun" the spirit by hitting it inside of an occupied block though, and perhaps it would return to its body after being stunned a few times.
