i was just surfing the forums and looking into ideas for 1.8 and one forum was on exp. now I've seen these kind of forums before but when i saw the ideas they were suggesting it got the gears turning in my head
what if the skills you could buy were from mods instead?
you could learn alchemy and you'd have the equivalent exchange mod
teleport and have the TP mod
flight for flying mod
engineer 1-10 for things like pistons from the original mod or air ships
witch doctor for the apothecarium mod
archane mastery for the magic wand mod <-i don't remember what its called sorry)
i don't know why it didn't hit me before but: exp.= mods and the exciting thought was if someone could make a mod bin for every minecraft file, where you could just download instead of using media fire and what not (and god forbid if you have to wait for an update), you could down load and delete what ever skills you want and customize your character til your hearts content
or some kind of system for the mod community, hell you could use 'that' to distribute game maps too!
my point is if there 'was' going to be a skill tree why not use it for things that extend the game, like the nether, aether, and equivalent exchange?
anyone care to elaborate?
-cheers
sudden thought what if you could use the hunger bar like a mana bar instead? based on what skill you use, and used the in game community system like Battle.net?
