This is a list of things that my friends and I think that should be added to Minecraft over the period of time that Minecraft is around (forever).
Dirt- I believe that there should be rocks in Minecraft. When digging up dirt, you get 4-5 dirt balls, a chance of getting a rock or two, another chance of maybe getting one or two clay balls, and some marble bits and pieces. As you know, dirt is filled with a bunch of stuff. That’s what makes it dirt. You can craft dirt with dirt balls on a 2x2 crafting table.
Rocks- When you break stone, you get 4-5 rocks, because you don't actually get already put together cobblestone. You can make cobblestone on a 2x2 crafting table using rocks. Rocks can also be thrown at glass and it will break it into 2 glass shards. Since bows can soon be charged, maybe things like snowballs and ‘rocks’ can be charged too when thrown. If you fully charge a rock and throw it at a block, it will push it over one or two blocks in the direction you were throwing it in (unless it was obsidian or bedrock, or someth8ing like that).
Better Furnaces- Instead of just one top slot to cook things in, there will be 2, so you can meld items together. For example you can meld glass and a dye to make stained glass. You can also put one glass shard into each top slot to make another glass block. One way that it could be made is like a double chest. That is my only idea so far on how to make it, but I think it’s an okay idea.
Marble- You can cook it and place them in a 2x2 area and make a marble block, just like clay. I don't know what would be so special about it; it was suggested by a friend. Take it or leave it, I don't care.
More Rain Effects- Whenever it rains I believe that dirt should become mud, and sand should become quicksand. Mud acts like soul sand; pulls you down, and slows you down. Quicksand will slowly pull you down, acting just like a cobweb, but acts like a liquid; moves. It should move as slow as or slower than lava. When the rain ends, mud will slowly turn back into dirt, but quicksand will not.
Improved Tools- I would suggest for there to be obsidian tools, but Notch has already announced that he will not make any obsidian tools because, in some cases obsidian is easier to find than diamonds (does not apply to all). But, there could be obsidian coated tools. It can affect any kind of tool. You just place the tool in one slot on an improved furnace and 2 obsidian in the other slot to make obsidian covered tools. This would make them break blocks 1.5 - 2 times faster and 1.5 - 2 times as durable as the original tool.
More Armor- Obsidian armor could be the best type of armor there is, but there would be one downside; it slows you down. A LOT. The next type of armor is shock absorbent shoes. It is made with wool with a slime ball on top of it (x2). You would take no damage from falling, but do not protect you from anything else. Lastly there should be backpacks. They are made just like leather armor chest plate, but the middle slot would not be a piece of leather but a chest. This would make your inventory the size of large chest (or slightly smaller).
Apple Tree- There will be a tree just like any other tree but it will be slightly smaller. When you have cut down all of the wood, and the leaves are disappearing, half of the things that drop will be saplings, half will be apples
Misc. features...
Torch Light- I believe that anything that shines when you place it should also shine in more ways than just that. It should shine when it’s in your hand, floating on the ground, or being held by an NPC in a village (that’s right, I’m going there). This would include torches, glow stone, glow stone dust, jack-o-lantern, lava buckets, and Redstone torches.
You can decide which you like and which you don't, these are what I think should be in the game, but I don't mind if they're not. Tell me your opinions on all of these things, or things you think should be added or removed from this list.

Axe Tweaks- Axes now cut anything that is wood-based faster. Don’t just say that I took that from ‘Better than Wolves’© (created by FlowerChild), because I have wanted that in an update before the ‘Better than Wolves’© (created by FlowerChild) concept was even conceived.
