If you play on Linux, whenever you click, your mouse shows up for a moment.
To make matters worse, if you click while holding a button, say, W, your character walks forward till you hit W again.
These sound like minor bugs but I've fallen off WAY too many buildings because of this.
The fix is simple: If you open up the MC folder and update the lwjgl these bugs go away.
The problem is, this fix has been out FOREVER now, yet Minecraft still comes with the old ones. Can you please update them so the game runs on Linux without being buggy as hell? Thanks
I'm bumping this thread because it is a problem that really does need addressed.
You can't be sending outdated software out. It took me forever to find a fix and I'm computer literate. The average Ubuntu user doesn't need this crap.

Off topic: Is Linux even a good system to run with? What is so good about it?
It's pretty
And this:
I use it because I'm a computer science major and believe in Free and Open Source Software

Yes. When you download the new LWJGL you get a folder with a ton of crap in it.
The following files need to be deleted and replaced from ones with the same name from the LWJGL folder:
in ~/.minecraft/bin
lwjgl.jar
jinput.jar
lwjgl_util.jar
And every file in
~/.minecraft/bin/natives
needs to be replaced with ones from the download.
