Hai! I am Tlc2010, and i've been on these forums for a LONG time. Just left it after several events [involving the Ender Man Mod [add an S and an L to the beginning of Ender and you'll know who i'm talking about]]. Anyway, my suggestion involves the Ender Pearls that endermen drop: THE ENDER-STAFF. Made like this:
Obsidian is Ender Pearl
Obviously, this would be extremely expensive [every staff requiring you have killed an enderman [or two] and have at least found ONE four diamond ore vein]. The awesome part? Ender Staves can spawn allied Endermen that attack hostile mobs [and chickens], as well as build houses/guard your house for you! The catch? They break after you hit endermen 50 times. [otherwise, they're unbreakable.]
How is it useless? I only forgot something to add. Edited so it's in:
You can [by right clicking] pop up a command screen that allows you to choose whether you want the Endermen to stay where they are [for example, guarding your house], follow you [guarding you], OR you can command them to build a house for you [they'll use whatever they can get to do it [sand not included]].
Why would they build for you? What compels them to work for you? Is there some magical system that demands servitude unto you?
Also, since the computer has no concept of design, how do you propose the enderman craft the house? If it is to simply use any block it picks up, you'll end with a shoddy piecemail house of cobblestone, wood, logs, and soil. It is functional, but it's hardly time-saving.
In my opinion, this should allow you to summon AN (and only ONE) enderman. Right-click will summon and dismiss the enderman. While summoned, the enderman consumes 1 durability per second with 3600 durability. When dismissed, the staff consumes no durability.
The enderman can be resummoned if killed, but it consumes 60 durability to do so and the enderman cannot be resummoned until the next day.
In this way, you actually have a companion which is arguably better than a wolf (in the fact that you can respawn it, store it, and release it.
