You should add this to the options in Beta AND Classic. Then people who don't swear don't have to see it. And make it so you can change what it replaces it to. So you could either have it:
What the f*** you are full of f***ing s***! D*** you b****!
or
What the fart you are full of farting sheep! Duck you bunkbed!
or
(insert yours)
Four problems with this idea before I give my support (if it is optional).
1. Many servers already have set rules on what you can and cannot say. It is more of a server preference.
2. If you see f*** or s*** or a**hole or anything like that, don't you IMMEDIATELY know what the actual word is? Even if it is fully censored you still have a good idea, although the 4 letter words may offer some confusion. So what the flying f*** is the mother ****ing difference? (See my point? You know exactly what I said. All it did was cause more work on me to type it differently and more work for your brain when it deciphered it automatically.)
3. These have never worked. Ever. They never stop people from swearing, and people who do it just to do it (many younger kids) will subvert the filters anyways. Then you have to kick and ban people for filter dodging instead of just swearing. All it does is add an additional rule that is essentially the same as the first rule.
4. The words are in themselves, harmless. They are only offensive if you choose to be offended by them. Words are like ideas, they are only harmful if acted upon, either by the person using them, the person who they are being used on, or a third party.

...Isn't that what I said? A option for it? Besides, why would someone filter-dodge YOUR filters? They would still see it, just not you.
That's fine by me then. It won't make an actual difference to the people swearing or the people reading it (imo) but why not?

How about an OP replacer for when the OP posts a lame suggestion.
We have something like that. Except it is more for when the general user decides to pointlessly bash someone else for his opinion. It's called the "Report" button. I just used it.

I usually like playing in a nice environment, which get's pounded to the ground when a few kids get's on and starts swearing like someone with tourettes
on a bad day.

Glad someone approves. I have been wanting an anti-profanity feature since I first found out about Minecraft.

And yes, that was intended to be a pun...
Instead of using stars, just use a different word. You know, like CP_Degrootkeep on TF2, how they change some words around for... Different speech.
I like this idea.
