My idea is really basic. ( also i looked and didn't see anything like this)
What if there was about 5 different quick use slots on the minecraft.net website.
Basically we could upload up to 5 different skin.png files and could slot them in the different slots.
Then in game we could create something like a dresser or so. you could place it down like a workbench.
Once you use the item it would open a menu displaying your different skins.
the player could then switch between them.
really simple.
What do you think?

It would take up bandwidth and somebody would end of complaining about lag and it not working or something like "Its going to make the 1.8 thing download slower!" its fine as it is.

Considering the game could just download them to a temp folder then reference back to them. I'm not to sure it would hurt bandwidth enough for players to complain.

I'm with Kyydrek on wanting to be able to switch skins in-game, without having to use Minecraft.net for every single switch. Even having a few skins we've uploaded to Minecraft.net that we can then choose from in the options menu would be a big improvement. Being able to switch skins conveniently can come in handy for role-playing purposes.
[email protected] I thank you for your input. I do agree that changing skins is not an annoying task, or even a time consuming task. but I do think that the idea of having an easier way of changing in to my 5 (or less) favorite skins. The Idea to have in game content that would allow users to switch there characters appearance sounds pretty good to me.

Also.
Maybe mojang could charge a little bit for extra save slots. up to like 15?
Minecrafts not a free-to-play game so why charge? Second of all there would be countless issues with this, and the most simple one is other people would sometimes not see the change and the old skin would still be there...

The charge idea is for people who would want more then just 5 slots. most people wouldn't care but some would so this would allow mojang to get a little bit for the player to have more in the game.
Second, I agree there would be bugs at first. but with enough work it would be bug free. To say that the idea would be buggy is to say that they would half ass the job.
