I just thought of this. It seems like it would work, and it's annoying having plugins to show who else is online. Like the title says, you would press tab to show everyone who is online.
That picture doesn't have a list of people online, cause I didn't feel like spending so much time on such a small thing. So just pretend there are names there. So yep, I think you get the picture. I don't know what would happen if you had like, 1000 people on a server at once, though. Maybe there could be pages. Also, everyone else's name would be green. Yours would be white, to make it easier to spot.
Not supposed to be part of this suggestion:
Another idea that I just thought of, is maybe you could be able to click on someone's name, and something would pop up. It would have two options: Add as friend (Yes, I know the friend option has been suggested several times), which would make their name appear in blue. The advantages to having them as a friend, is letting you find their coordinates. There's also a button in the top right corner of the player list that shows your friends, regardless if they're online or not. You can also remove them as a friend. If they're offline, their name will appear in gray. Now, after you've added them as a friend, when you click on their name, it will come up with a new option. It will say "Show coordinates". If you click on it, it will show their coordinates, obviously.
And yet another idea, is showing people who have visited the server, but are offline. It would be a small button, probably above the top left corner of the player list square thing. Their names would be gray.
I didn't intend for this to be so long, but I just thought of those ideas. I'm pretty sure people have suggested this friend feature in the game menu, but this would be different. I'm not gonna go ahead and explain what it would be like if there was a friend list in the game menu. I just thought of this, too. If a friend you've added is in another server, it will show their name. Pretty simple.
Okay, now I just thought of something else. This is getting ridiculous. This wasn't supposed to be a whole friend adding suggestion, but whatever.. You would be able to see what server they're in by clicking on their name, and clicking "Show server". Doing that would show the IP of the server they're in.
Sorry if the ingame player list has already been suggested, though. I searched for "Ingame suggestion show list" and "online show" and other things, and went through all the pages. Didn't see it. But sorry if it has already been suggested.
