I noticed that most of the stuff here, isn't really 'functional' in gameplay terms...yet is impressive, from the large buildings to the enterprise stuff...perhaps since people are using minecraft like an 'ez mode' 3d studio max or blender, assembling some very nice 3d objects, perhaps an option to save and share your 3d object, as a subset of a map, so you could 'copy & paste' your voxel modeled starship or sword or evil pig 3d model resource, a little extra code and facebook-style accounts, and 'creative free mode' suddenly becomes 'add resources mode', including p2p cube adding, with 64x64 creative options, and perhaps some 3d-modeler inspired features as necessary....
also a way to add code to those, minecraft would be neater if the object / recipe / block count was higher than 250, but was instead p2p both in propagation (quality) as well as quantity, with perhaps a 2nd "gameplay" style around building and sharing resoruces for minecraft, and if you build something neat in single player, maybe use the 3d modeler sharin tool on that object, wait a bit, and another player adds the code objects (maybe some generic ones...)
Although i'm gettin tired of waitin, i didn't like terraria either...yet it seems like there's a huge market for 3d modelers, that people just enjoy drawin in 3d, why else are people makin stuff like enterprise....and there's the wire tool, lol i bet notch only knows about movin cubes around, and also wiring and transitor / switches ;p
More of those tools...maybe subdivide the cubes too, or perhaps play with the scale, so you can go into 1/64th scale size and manipulate tiny blocks that are then saved into a 3d model (maybe a nice fancy warcraft-style sword), along with attaching a recipe option (both for 'research/find' new recipes, modded materials and current ones, and other ways for other players to use those items,....also the new mobs, and gameplay objectives, it seems like minecraft is mostly 3d voxel modeler, and a little bit of world of warcraft / every other mmos recipe / mining/pickup system, albeit with voxel cube terrain...
The gameplay is kinda sparse...if you don't wanna build abstract models with voxels (i can use sketchup , xna, d3d ;p)
The mob ai is terrible...you randomly find caves with no air and a few mobs? the game map is very wide and not very deep?
Also since the action is kinda....not competitive with black ops or borderlands,...or dogfighter on steam....how about makin it more RPG-like, and adding more gameplay and generation options for people who wanna play a game, and not make 3d models that are programatically the same as a little durt hut...
Oh well, it was fun until i got the diamond tools...then i pondered what to do next, since the mobs were dumb, and while mob traps and log-in-log-out multipalyer with breaky laggy disappearin servers....also the cheats are pretty rampant, and diablo generated terrain (remember diablo 1 and 2? those maps were random from tiles, albeit not cube shaped ones...some were static too, people seem like they'd rather memorize and repeat than think fast and react...
Personally since minecraft is kinda 'makin stuff' oriented, i think adding some good tools to expand the game, like fallout 3 and "geck", along with a way to share and rate files (maybe a c# asp.net starter kit that is facebook + forums + files...or you could lol it in java ;p)
So like people could 'easily' make quest series, and share objects like 1m square cubes of metal you cannot lift, due to it weighin more than a car engine, and if you punch dirt and trees nothin happens.
Maybe a 'realistic' version....but with all the 'don't make duke nukem 3d since someone made wolfenstein 3d already, someone else.....i wanna better mining/crafting game, smoeone should go to alibaba and find some foreign miners, i think they're all chinese and/or african....craftin lol you melt **** ijnto moulds, heat it up and smash , acid works ok, there's a lotta trix, maybe ask a chinaman ;p
Good idea. But why the advantage over blender? I mean I like the sharing idea but I don't see the need for expansions in the modeling of buildings in MC.
I didn't read that... But if you want to use it for 3d modeling than you can export out creations as .schematics then import to Google sketchup pro and then you do what you want from there on. People have been going reverse since they found out minecraft loads .schematics.
All minecraft is is a series of points on a 3D plane. So easily portable or what? Mark something as origin and it calculates where the blocks are in relation. Then it loads into something usable. Ideas?

Fan of deadmau5 & Skrillex & Dubstep <3
Then don't post.
I on the other hand thinks that this is a very good idea. Would just require a lot of 3rd party involvement.

Gah, what does "tl;dr" mean?
I can;t figure it out for my life. X.X
