I do not have pretty pictures so use YOUR imagination.
I was making a water trap and I was thinking how great it would be to have pipes to carry water, lava, and such. The liquid can not magically move, no you must have a pump powered somehow.
These pipes will also be able to carry items. Let's say a mob dies is a drowning trap, a pump pulls water from the trap and also items so the output will have water and mob goodies. In another scenario we could say that an infinite spring powers a drowning trap, so the water wouldn't just pour out of the pipes and go everywhere, it acts like a single water block, easily contained by digging a one unit hole under or whatever you like to use.
This could be the pipe
This could be pump Note limited to Stone = Some type of new block
Just think about the possibilities you can do with this, you could drop lava on griefers, you could drown mobs, or flood tunnels and mines. For us map makers we could add cool effects and battle strategies to our maps.

This has been made, pretty sure it's called buildcraft.
You say you're a map maker? Sticky pistons are a trap-makers secret weapon.
Buildcraft has pipes but I don't think they transport water or lava. I like the idea of pipes being able to transport water, lava, and items( like in buildcraft).
Wait! Who said that? Don't they know that's against the rules? Shameful.
But seriously, modders spend time on this, and your just spitting on them when you won't invest ten minutes to use what they spent hours or weeks on.
Please support your MC modders :smile.gif:
How am I insulting modders by suggesting pipes added to the game? I did look at mods for this, I was suggesting it being added in the unmodded version of minecraft so my other mods wouldn't freak out and crash the game.

As for pipe blocks, those are hard to visualize, but if they worked, it would be nice and easier than a mob lifter. :laugh.gif:
