we all know mossy stone is cool and a little rare, notch said he might make mossy stone farmable
, but kinda find that annoying seeing as how you cant reverse it unless shears take it off to make ivy.
But anyway I think it would be better to do this.

Also I think if there are new mobs in the nether there should be mossy netherack.
also dungeons higher than level 12 some what less deep or close to the surface could be made of
mossy sand stone.

I'd rather have it spread naturally from mossy cobblestone to regular cobblestone over time. And like FoxRacer said, Cobblestone is not in short supply. It's one of the few items that are fully renewable.
