Wait, your overhauling all the biomes!!!! this will be amazing when 1.8 is officially released, because the biomes will be much bigger and more seperate. too awesome.

hey, I just noticed that gator skin armor is flawed. Durability and protection are the same thing as far as armor is concerned, so leather strength/iron durability doesn't work
I absolutely love this idea, save for the cockatrice, my vote is to drop them.
Two questions though:
#1) Have you considered making a separate Stagnant Water fluid block? Might add to the experience a bit better. Could also make it a spawn condition for certain things.
#2) Is this going to be Bukkit compatible? I'd love to adopt this on my server come 1.8's release.
The mudcrawler needs an overhaul. I cannot tell which end is the front and which the back. It almost looks like a turtle with no eyes but i think i'm looking at teh wrong end

unethical genetic research for over 10 yearsSure! What I need done is basically a bunch of herbs, a mortar and pestle and possibly potions.
Some examples of herbs: there should be at least 10, because they will be found in many biomes.

also you need some vines in there.
Each biome will be getting an average of 2 new mobs, either hostile or neutral/passive.
Biomes that have tons of animal life in reality, like swamps, jungles, and oceans, will obviously have more new mobs than the desert or taiga.
