This is a fairly simple suggestion, which is by no means something that hasn't been said before, I'm sure. However, I think the potential for minecraft is such that it can appeal to more than one type of gamer if you were to market it as not just a game to express your creative ideas by building, but also a SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE. By this, I don't mean like facebook. I mean something more like gaiaonline.(Gaia towns, in particular) Such as going onto a server, having many different people to talk to, and being able to hang out in your cool areas you have created. It would be absolutely amazing to be able to, for example, sit with your friends at the top of your mountain, in your castles great hall. Then maybe go for a roller coaster ride, or, well, the possibilites are limitless.
What you have just described is called a server, we use them to interact with other players in multiplayer minecraft. While online we can build together talk together and hang out. It is already a feature, and has been since the creative era.

You don't seem to understand the purpose of my post. I am saying that this game should be MARKETED, aka advertised, as a social networking site BECAUSE of this. Part social networking, part creative building. Also, the current status of server setup is pathetic. It needs to be much easier to do.
Also, I will add, When I talk about how "it would be cool" etc, I mean on a massively multiplayer basis. Rather than just the current small servers which are hard to set up.
I mean :dry.gif: :unsure.gif: :mellow.gif: :blink.gif: :angry.gif:
DEAL WITH IT.
