What if glowstone dust were placeable on the ground? Currently, it's only use is for glowstone blocks.
The idea is that glowstone, as well as redstone, has an ON/OFF state. By default, it will be OFF. But when activated with redstone, it will turn ON. It could line up a lot like redstone. Note, however, glowstone dust doesn't give off quite as much light as it's block version. :wink.gif:
Glowstone Dust, when walked upon, will turn it ON temporarily (faintly), a lot like redstone ore.
This could be a nice indicator for redstone states, maybe light switches to turn on lights in a house (instead of having to rely on pistons to let in light), and a ton of other things I'm sure! I'm sure it'd tie in well with light sensory blocks if those were to be implemented. Thanks for reading! Constructive feedback please. :smile.gif:

So basically your making glowstone dust have the light of a torch when you can make a block? Don't be lazy, just make the block like the rest of us do.

So basically you're calling me lazy for taking the time to build a plausible idea? I never specified the intensity of the light. Could I at least get some constructive feedback on the idea itself?
Dang it, sorry mate I don't fully support this, though I do have a small idea if you don't mind?
Most know that redstone dust has a signal that lasts 15 blocks before "drying out".
Then how about Glowstone Dust makes it so the signal lasts longer?
Like around to 25 or something, it'd help some redstone designs without setting up a repeater
since repeaters stop the signal temporarily, I like to keep things simultaneous.
Please keep in mind that I am in NO way "teasing" your idea, just suggesting an add.
