As most of us now know, Notch has tweaked the biome generation for Beta 1.8.
As of the current 1.8 build, there are only seven biomes,
but they are much larger and much more distinct than before.
Judging by PAX footage, I presume the current build's biomes to be:
This thread is meant to encompass all biome suggestions. If you suggest a biome, please be specific about its terrain, foliage, materials, mobs and climate. Terrain features, such as temples or volcanoes, do not count as biomes, but you can suggest a biome that has these distinctive terrain features. Note that Notch is considering the addition of rainforests and swamps, but that there is no other information available, so you can still suggest what you want these biomes to be like.

That's not how the suggestions forum works. You're supposed to make the suggestions. Creating a thread for suggestions in a section for suggestions is redundant.

We've already got a biome megathread (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/368893-the-world-generation-megathread/) to keep other threads well organized.
Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.
