Honestly, flesh out your ideas more. A title doesn't go into part of a sentence, that's why the title is often used for TELLING what the purpose of the post is.
But, meh, they may as well do something different. As long as they can't detatch themselves from it in mid air to catapult themselves from place to place.
would be simpler to make them shoot a projectile that makes a web block where it lands, to imobilize the player then they just run/jump/climb to them and kill you.
spiders are already one of the most mobile mobs. swinging is really not needed.
and maybe make a different type of spider do this. like a "web-shooter spider." it can be a prefix creature like the charged creeper. would make this a little less overpowered.

They are spiders and they make web. This is minecraft. Might as well make them shoot stuff :smile.gif:

Maybe They Can Web You And They Pull You Towards Them? But You Have To Be In A 10-Block radius or sumething?
