When I was little I used to go outside in the rain and catch toads around the neighborhood.
They would be hopping all over the place, happy as can be in the rain. It was awesome.
Slimes should spawn in the rain. It would give rainstorms an actual dynamic to look forward to. A downpour would come down and instead of being annoyed we would get excited, for it would be slime hunting time. Perhaps not terribly common, but they'd be out there. We'd have to find them. Hopping around in the rain, as happy as could be in all that moisture. Joy like nothing else.

That's actually.. a brilliant idea. i usually hate when it starts to rain.. that would be so much fun to watch them jump around in the rain. but not big ones. just the small ones

You mean, not using a 3rd party program and still legitly getting slimes!(without wasting all your time finding a correct chunk) Approveness. You still can't dance naked in the rain though.
Yes yes yes a thousands times yes. Slimes are too freaking rare as it is, and I don't want to have to dig near bedrock, just to find some. I WANT MY BLOODY STICKY PISTONS!!! /weep

On second thought, still a good idea, but I haven't seen rain since 1.5
Not even joking. I hardly use beds or anything of the sort, so I guess I am doomed to finding slime chunks regardless.
But more to the point of this post, should they be specific to certain biomes? or only spawn at a certain height level during rain? It could do with more specifics.
