A game usually has music depending on your location. In Minecraft, music happens at random times. I believe Minecraft should have the first one.
First, C418 will have to make more music. Some for savannas, caves, mountains, lakes, oceans, lava pits, swamps, forests, and any other location. When you enter a chunk, It has 2 music. One for sea level and above, and the other for under sea level (underground or pits). The music will be correspondent to the surroundings in the chunk. Imagine:
You're mining. A dark, echoing, music plays as if it's anticipating something bad.
You're boating. A joyful, adventurous music plays.
You're collecting wood in the forest. A soft, classical tune plays.
It'll really improve Minecraft. What do you think?

I am meowing at my lung’s fullest. I would even argue that the echo that reverberates back to me is the voice of someone I know…
I believe Notch is working with C418(Minecraft's music mastermind, for those who don't know) about adding more specific sounds to the game. This may include music, and biome/activity-related music would be an excellent addition.
